2 Solid Reasons Bloggers Should Be Thanking FriendFeed & Twitter
Since the arrival of social media web services like Twitter and FriendFeed bloggers have for the most part been in a quandary in how to deal with them. A lot of bloggers have been of the attitude that the two services are taking traffic away from the blogs because of the fact that the conversation seems to be happening in those places rather than on the blogs. As well others in the blogging world feel that services like Twitter and FriendFeed hurt the blogs because more original content is going there – after all Twitter is called a micro-blogging service – right?
The more that move to these new conversation methods the better it is for those of us that believe that blogging is the the new news and conversation medium. For us this means less competition and less noise for us to fight our way through in order to get through to the readers. This of course is my first reason why bloggers should be thankful for services like Twitter and FriendFeed – they help clear out the noise makers.
